The contrast is stunning. The way you've pulled all the white in the bottom towards the dramatic sky up above is amazing, and helps play into the strong composition. Monochrome seems to be a winning option here. This shot has loads of atmosphere, and the subject and setting play off each other extremely well. I can't bring myself to find any flaws here; it is a perfect photo pretty much all around. Maybe there's just a tiny too much black at the top but this is an insignificant error, especially when compared to the rest of the photo. Amazing work.

This reminds me of a song called "Som en båt på land (As a boat on land)) by a norwegian band called Hellbillies. A lovely ballad with a melancholic feel.
